The Badabook experience at Paris Aéroport awarded at La Nuit des Rois 2026

For nearly five months, Badabook offered Paris Aéroport passengers an unprecedented system of ultra-personalised literary recommendations powered by generative artificial intelligence. Available in French and in English, the service offered each traveller a selection of readings tailored to their mood, destination or current interests. Novels, thrillers, essays, manga, comic books, travel guides, and practical lifestyle guides: the full range of offerings from Relay stores was showcased.

The recommendations, which were justified and contextualised, were based on a playful questionnaire designed to uncover each reader's tastes, emotions and expectations. Two complementary experiences were offered: before the trip, through extime.com, and during the trip, through two Extime JCDecaux Airport interactive totems installed at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2EM and Paris-Orly Terminal 3. Badabook thus helped create a new key moment in the departure lounge during the passengers journey —a moment of curiosity and enjoyment, accessible to all ages, where everyone can discover a book that speaks to them.

This award recognises the close collaboration between the teams at Badabook (Devina AI), Groupe ADP, Extime Travel Essentials and Extime JCDecaux Airport. It depicts Extime's ambition to make the passenger experience even more memorable and culturally rich, by making literary discovery a simple, intuitive and playful experience.
