Ariel becomes part of passengers’ everyday lives at Paris Aéroport

Ariel turns the end of the holidays into a key communication moment at Paris Aéroport. Building on a universal insight – suitcases filled with laundry to wash – the brand is rolling out a DOOH campaign to connect with travellers’ everyday lives, at the closest possible moment to product use.

An everyday insight at the heart of the media strategy

By capitalising on an everyday truth shared by all travellers – returning home with suitcases full of memories… and laundry to wash – Ariel delivers a communication initiative at Paris Aéroport that is as clever as it is strategic.

The return from a trip is a pivotal moment: you leave the holiday bubble and dive back into everyday life. It is precisely at this instant, both universal and emotional, that Ariel has chosen to address travellers.

With its signature line “Big problems call for big solutions!”, the brand positions itself as the obvious answer to a “pain point” everyone knows only too well: the mountain of laundry waiting at home.

This creative approach allows Ariel to anchor itself in the immediate reality of travellers, to forge a strong sense of understanding through a simple, shared truth about everyday life, and to enhance message recall by aligning it with an imminent need.

Ariel, welcome proxi, DOOH campaign

A DOOH activation at the heart of the arrivals journey

To maximise the impact of this campaign, Ariel has invested in Extime JCDecaux Airport’s Welcome Proxi DOOH assets, designed to cover the entire arrivals journey for passengers.

The campaign accompanied travellers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly, from the moment they left the aircraft right through to exiting the airport, with repeated, consistent touchpoints that maximise both visibility and impact.

This continuous presence strategy enables the brand to stay top of mind at the very moment when travellers are already thinking ahead to returning home and tackling their first everyday tasks.

The return from a trip, a key communication moment

By choosing the end-of-holiday moment, Ariel turns this inevitable transition into a truly strategic communication highlight:

- A brand connected to travellers’ everyday lives: Ariel’s promise resonates with a concrete, immediate use case, reinforcing the relevance of the message.

- Communication at the closest possible moment to product use: the need for laundry detergent is imminent, and the brand naturally comes to mind for consumers.

- A premium, captive context: the airport, the ultimate experiential medium, offers Ariel a high-quality environment that is ideal for building and promoting the brand.

By turning the return from a trip into a communication lever, Ariel perfectly illustrates the airport medium’s ability to create effective campaigns that align seamlessly with travellers’ own timelines.
